About the 11+ Comprehension Practice Papers Pack 1 (Ages 10-11)
Here are our top reasons to buy the 11+ Comprehension Practice Papers Pack 1 (Ages 10-11):
- 8 comprehension papers that build from standard ISEB level to challenging
- Covers four different 11+ comprehension formats your child could meet on the day
- Classic texts chosen for reading interest, with vocabulary building throughout
- Full worked answers, often with alternative solutions, plus technique advice for each question
- Written by tutor Robert Lomax for grammar and independent school entry, ages 10-11
Your child is sitting the 11+, and these eight papers take them from standard comprehension work up to grammar school standard.
Comprehension is where marks slip away in the 11+, because a child can read well and still answer loosely. This printed pack of eight papers gets harder as it goes, starting at ISEB level and finishing at the level top grammar and independent schools set. Year 5 children can start early and build up.
Each paper uses a classic passage, and the questions follow four of the formats used in real 11+ papers. Every question has a full example answer, often with an alternative, so you can see what earned the marks. There is technique advice too, which helps if you are marking at home without a tutor.
Eight complete papers with worked answers beat a passage here and a passage there. Your child learns not just what to write, but why that answer works.
