The 11+ English test comes in Year 6, and this workbook is the practice for the run-up to it.
This 96-page printed workbook is for the months before the 11+ English test. Every question sits at the level of the real paper, so nothing on the day feels new. It suits children aiming at grammar school and independent school places.
The first section takes one topic at a time, starting with punctuation and grammar. Spelling, comprehension, vocabulary and writing all get their own pages. One page asks your child to add brackets and commas to 18 sentences, with tick boxes to mark how it went. Six Assessment Tests follow, and they build speed and accuracy.
The answers at the back explain the reasoning behind each question, so a mistake turns into a short chat. The Online Edition covers the whole book, so your child can practise on a PC, Mac or tablet.
