This study book teaches your Year 5 or Year 6 child the maths the GL 11+ asks for, topic by topic.
Your child is sitting the 11+, and maths is often where marks slip away. This GL 11+ maths study book teaches the maths first, then shows how the questions work. A Year 6 child can use it to go back over shaky topics.
The book runs to 116 printed pages in full colour, with a roomy layout and short blocks of notes. Each topic gives a method to follow, then round-up questions with answers. One sample page shows two rounding examples, with a question to try underneath.
A Benchmark Test shows the level your child is working at. Mental arithmetic has its own pages, and so do algebra, geometry and problem solving. Inside the cover is a code for the Online Edition, which opens on a PC, Mac or tablet. The pull-out Parents' Guide talks you through the 11+ itself.

The GL 11+ Maths Study Book (Ages 7-11) is perfectly suited for children in Year 5 or Year 6 who are preparing to take the GL Assessment 11+ exams, which are typically sat in the September - October period of Year 6.
This resource is also ideal for children preparing for other 11+ test providers, including FSCE, CSSE, the Sutton Selective Eligibility Test (SET), as well as 11+ exams authored by individual grammar schools themselves.
While specifically designed for children preparing for the GL 11+ tests, the GL 11+ Maths Study Book (Ages 7-11) also provides excellent preparation for independent school entrance exams, typically held in the January - February period of Year 6.
