Year 6 English covers a lot, and this pack backs up the work your child does in class. It follows the National Curriculum, so the topics match the lessons at school. Reading, writing, spelling, punctuation and grammar are all covered, as the KS2 SATs test them. A Year 7 child who still trips over clauses can work through it as well.
Your child reads a text, then answers questions on it. On one page they punctuate four sentences with colons and semicolons, helped by a cartoon owl. A writing page asks them to underline facts about volcanoes, then rewrite the extract in an objective tone. Four PDF answer files download from Exam Ninja, for the comprehension, grammar and spelling workbooks. The writing workbook holds its own answers and hints inside.
