Fab book - my dyslexic son is really enjoying working through these projects in scratch

Excellent book both for children learning coding and older adults learning some of the new newish coding around.

Absoutely fantastic introduction to programming. Wonderfully presented and easy to follow. Would definitely recommend!

great book at a great price, my lad is 9 and now knows enough to help the teacher during lessons

grandson liked it !

Item as expected and delivered promptly. Thank you.

My 7 year old son has just started reading this. He's found it really exciting and can not wait to start coding. The language used in the book is simple to understand yet engaging.

Excellent. I like the way it starts with Scratch and moves to Python using screen shots of Scratch coding blocks alongside the Python code. The code is well annotated.

Great book with the basics for learning coding. It's not just for kids. It's great for adults too if they want to learn.

Well written & so good that school have bought copies too

Nicely written and illustrated book

As someone who writes code for a living, I've been trying to find a way to get my 8 year old some kind of exposure to it. My own attempts having fallen flat, this book with its game-based approach and lots of fun ideas and bright colours is perfect. She is hooked (in a good way).

Very easy for a nine year old to read and simple and fun to use to start coding.

Brilliant book, carol vorderman always gets it right

excellent concept

just what was needed for my daughter

Amazing book. I've only had it for one week and I can program scratch like 123! Really fun way to learn coding. Also gives brilliant referance to stuff like javascript and python which is used by NASA, google AND pixar! A must have.

All ok

I really love this book. It is ideal for kids who want to get ahead with programming but is also an excellent resource for teachers who are new to programming but have to get up to speed with it due to changes to the new KS3 curriculum. I have already recommended this to my students and colleagues. It starts very simply and then progresses logically to harder concepts. The beauty of it being the fun way it is presented and kids can very quickly create some great programs. It takes the mystery out of programming and makes it accessible to all. The price was brilliant too. Similar books from conventional Educational establishments cost much more. This must be one of my best buys ever!

Really great book. My son has loved doing some of the things on scratch and has then gone on to tweet things by himself. Good starting point for any child wanting to learn about coding.

A good product, the book teaches scratch and the basics of Python. I would recommend it for beginners.

I bought this book initially for my son (who is 8) who really likes computers and talked about doing computer programming. It is a fantastic book for those starting at the beginning. It's really easy to follow and 'Scratch' the programme they start off with is easy and fun. I have also bought this for a friend's child's birthday and he told my son that it was one of his best presents!

My 10-year-old son uses Scratch a fair bit and wants to get into coding and this is perfect. Focuses on scratch in the first half but then has sections on Python and also explains the basics of coding generally. An excellent introduction.

Brought this for my 10 year old son and he really found it useful. Great for children who are starting out with coding or for those with some knowledge.

This is outstandingly good. Fun scratch projects to try and an introduction to python long with all the basics. A must have.

My daughter loves this books and both find it easy to learn from.

Excellent book - easy to understand and good illustrations. Easy to follow. Recommended

Brought as an Xmas present for my daughter who's 9 and she loves it! She'd talked about it all the time as they use it at school and she's happy she can now practice (and get ahead) at home. I can't comment on the material inside as I know nothing about computers but apparently it's good for kids.

Very interesting book...

This is a great book that my daughter really enjoyed working through. The layout is very easy to follow and straightforward to apply. I am not a computer programmer but I know some basic C programming. I was looking for a way to get my daughter interested in programming. You need no prior programming experience to get through this book. My daughter is 7 and she can navigate it in her own. The book showcases programming in a fun and easy to follow way. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this book to anyone who wants to get kids interested in programming.

Easy to follow, clear instructions and layout leading to gradually more challenging projects that can be shared, edited and viewed later. My grand-daughter enjoyed it
