Your Year 1 child sits the Phonics Screening Check in June, and these two books are the practice for it.
In the check your child reads words aloud, one at a time, and some of those words are made up. This two-book pack practises the same question types and the same layout, in line with the National Curriculum. So the shape of the check is familiar long before the day.
