Good to have a book aimed specifically at Reception children. So many others cater for 3-4years (too easy) or 5-6 years ( too advanced and aimed at the upper end of KS1)

I am currently home learning with a autumn born 5yo girl. She's very secure with Reception maths concepts and is keen on formal, recorded activities alongside more play based learning. I was looking for something to support that as she prepares for year 1. Lots of the books on the market seem aimed either too low (at preschool level) or too high (at key stage 1 level). This book is aimed just right. There's a good mix of activities and the main learning focuses for reception and early year 1 maths are covered. The labelling is odd - Reception is Foundation Stage, not Key Stage 1 but I'll forgive it that because the pitching is the best I've found.

As a grandparent, I'm delighted with this workbook's structured approach, boosting my grandchild's confidence for upcoming exams.
